The Washington Post recently named Washington, DC the most traffic congested city in the entire United States, making it the absolute worst for commuting. Despite massive highway construction and MetroRail development in the DC Metro Area, the bumper-to-bumper DC traffic jams that plague DC commuters on a daily basis are only getting worse.

Although commuters may hate DC traffic, advertisers should love it. The high congestion on the roads creates an ideal opportunity to gain countless impressions with surrounding OOH media. Whether it be wallscapes on buildings or billboards along highways, commuters sitting in stand-still traffic will certainly take notice of surrounding advertisments.
